You run a flight school (or a flying club). WingWrangler runs the paperwork.
Scheduling, fleet tracking, billing, training records, maintenance, documents, chat, reporting — one platform instead of six browser tabs and a shared Google Sheet.
You pick one when you set up. It changes what you see in the dashboard.
Example: Skyline Aviation Academy — 12 aircraft, 8 CFIs, Part 141 approved
Curriculum tracking, stage checks, endorsement workflows, TSA compliance, student progress dashboards. You get the full training stack: endorsements, stage checks, Part 141 curriculum management, plus fleet, billing, and maintenance.
Example: Northfield Flyers — 4 Cessnas (N172SP, N182RG, N5254K, N739BA), 45 members
Member scheduling, hourly billing, shared maintenance tracking, monthly dues. Leaner scheduling and member management. No training overhead cluttering up your dashboard. You still get fleet, billing, and maintenance.
Each person in your org gets a role. That role controls exactly what they can see and do. No more, no less.
| Role | What They Can Do |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Everything. Fleet, billing, users, settings. You’re the owner or ops manager. |
| Chief Instructor | Oversee all training. Assign students, manage curriculum, approve stage checks. |
| Billing Admin | Invoices, payments, account balances. No access to training or maintenance. |
| Instructor | See your own students. Log dual given. Issue endorsements. Manage your schedule. |
| Dispatcher | Book aircraft, assign instructors, manage the daily flight schedule. |
| Mechanic | Log squawks, update maintenance status, mark aircraft airworthy or grounded. |
| Student | View your training progress, book flights, check your balance, download logbook. |
| Member | Book aircraft, view your invoices, check fleet availability. Clubs only. |
Your student books N172SP for Tuesday at 0900 with their instructor. After the flight, the instructor logs 1.3 dual given. WingWrangler does the rest: the logbook entry gets created, the Hobbs time generates an invoice at your per-hour rate, and the student’s training record updates automatically. When they’ve met the requirements, you issue the endorsement right from the platform.
No double entry. No chasing paper.
